Nitro-powered models

Fuel-powered engines allow model cars to reach moderate speeds unmodified. Maximum power is generally achieved at medium to high speeds, and a slightly slower throttle response than electrically powered vehicles is to be expected. Electric motors effectively produce instantaneous torque, where nitro engines, like full-sized gasoline engines, take time for the engine to spool up and for the clutch to engage. Nitro- (and fuel) powered cars may be refueled and returned to action in a few seconds, as opposed to electrics needing to remove the body shell and battery fasteners to replace a discharged battery. Nitro cars are completely air cooled, and may be run continuously with no need to take breaks for cooling down. Nitro cars tend to be larger than electric cars on average, because affordable high-performance electronics are only generally available in 1:10 scale and smaller. However, scale equivalents do exist in both nitro and electric forms, such as RC 1074 and GT2.
Nitro-powered cars operate like full-sized fuel vehicles more than their electric counterparts do. The sound of the engine and design of the drive train are main selling points to nitro enthusiasts. However, their exhaust contains unburned oil, which usually ends up coating the chassis. This, in turn, requires more cleaning than an electric-powered equivalent. Cleaning is usually achieved by the use of compressed airblowers and solvents. Tuning a fuel-powered vehicle requires learning to maintain optimum performance and fuel economy, and to minimize engine wear and overheating, even in ready-to-run vehicles.

Radio Controlled Toys

A Radio Controlled model (or RC model) is a model that is steerable with the use of radio control. Radio controlled toys have become more popular with the development of technology. Now it has achieved wide range of development as well as in entertainment also. With the invention of transistor it became more easily to make these creations as the integrated circuits made electronics small, light and cheap to become widely available. Nowadays RC toys play major role in kids life which provide huge enthusiasm though they quite expensive.

Types of Toys
  • Cars
A radio-controlled car is a powered model car driven from a distance. Both gas and electric cars exist, designed to be run both on and off-road. "Gas" cars traditionally use petrol (gasoline) though the majority now use nitromethanal, mixture of methanol and nitromethane, to get their power. Building, driving, and modifying radio-controlled car kits is a hobby enjoyed by enthusiasts of all ages.
  • Helicopters
Radio-controlled helicopters , although often grouped with RC aircraft, are unique because of the differences in construction , aerodynamics and flight training. Several designs of RC helicopters exist, some with limited maneuverability (and thus easier to learn to fly), and those with more maneuverability (and thus harder to learn to fly).
  • Boats
Radio-controlled boats are model boats controlled remotely with radio control equipment. The main types of RC boat are: Scale models (12"(30 cm) - 144"(365 cm) in size), the sailing boat and the power boat. The latter is the more popular amongst toy grade models.

  • Aircrafts
Radio-controlled aircrafts (also called RC aircraft) are small aircrafts that can be controlled remotely. There are many different types, ranging from small park fliers to large jets and mid-sized aerobatic models. The aircraft use many different methods of propulsion, ranging from brushed or brushless electric motors, to internal combustion engines, to the most expensive gas turbines. The fastest aircraft, with gas turbines, can reach speeds of up to 250 mph (400 km/h). Newer jets can achieve above 300 mph (480 km/h) in a short distance.
  • SubmarinesThe submarine model hobby includes both static models meant only for display and radio controlled models that are intended for fun on and under the water. These RC submarine models are accurate models of past or present military or research vessels. They have such more realistic parts such as torpedoes. Controlling a RC submarine is a bit difficult because it has to be controlled standing outside of the bath tub or tank while it is going under water. So it can be seen clearly whether the underwater path is in a good or bad circumstance. Some newly RC subs have such kinds of tools to find the accurate path. So don't jump in the pool and go underwater with your controller. RC subs have controllers which communicate with the on board receivers enclosed in a water tight compartments. In RC toys field submarines have got top class not only for using higher technology but also for the higher price.
